European Antennas specialise in the development of antennas to meet individual customers' requirements. This development project marks a first for the company as they have designed the Vector series of 20 sector and omni antennas specifically to meet WiMAX applications. Network operators will find this an advantage when developing radio systems to meet WiMAX Forum conformance and interoperability requirements.

The European Antennas antenna development team has used its expertise to produce cost-effective and high performance antennas to meet the ideals that this competitive market dictates. The company has applied the same stringent quality control parameters to the Vector series as it does to its specialist range of antenna developments used in military and satcom operations.

The Vector series can also be used for fixed radio access and broadband networks, with the growing demand for wireless internet access very much in mind.

Easy to install, the Vector range offers a discreet yet robust, high quality antenna solution. They feature wide operating bands (currently 3.30GHz to 3.80GHz and 4.90GHz to 5.90GHz) to provide the benefit of being able to be incorporated into new and existing networks, reducing the need to maintain a large variety of narrow band antennas.

Vector base station sector antennas are available with 60°, 90°, 120° and 180° azimuth beamwidths and feature built-in electrical down-tilt to benefit installation and operation.

Whilst sector antennas provide up to 19dBi gain, 8sBi and 11dBi gain, omni antennas in both 3.5GHz and 5GHz bands are also available.

All Vector series antennas come with a fully adjustable mounting kit.

Vector antennas are tested throughout development and manufacture to meet specific radiation pattern requirements and ETSi regulatory compliance.
