Arialcom - The Multi-Band Antenna Expert

Arialcom is specialised in designing and manufacturing high-performance multi-band base station antennas with variable electrical tilts (VET) for GSM and 3G networks. Acknowledged for the unrivalled performance levels of its antennas, Arialcom supplies numerous wireless operators and vendors throughout the world.

A COMPREHENSIVE ANTENNA PORTFOLIO

Today, visual impact and installation cost of the base station antennas are the major concerns that operators have to face with the deployment of the new wireless networks.

A solution is to use multi-band antennas which combine different antennas within a small and unique housing. Having foreseen this situation as far back as 2001, Arialcom has developed a new generation of compact (270 mm width), multi-band and high performance antennas such as:

  • GSM900/Broadband (1710 – 2170 MHz) dual-band antennas (from 2.6m to 1.6m heights);
  • Broadband/Broadband dual-band antennas (1.4m height);
  • GSM900/Broadband/Broadband antennas triple-band antennas (from 2.6m to 1.6m heights).

All the Arialcom antennas are ± 45° cross-polarised panels with 65° half-power beamwidth.

Each frequency band is equipped with an independent VET control that can be locally (MET option) or remotely (RET option) adjusted over the -2°/-10° or –4°/-12° tilts ranges.

VISUAL IMPACT REDUCTION SOLUTIONS

In order to satisfy market demand and in particular the need to reduce as much as possible the visual impact, Arialcom offers innovative solutions such as integrated antennas and tri-sector structure.

  • An integrated antenna combines a stand-alone multi-band antenna and accessories, such as TMA, Multiplexers and RETs.
  • A tri-sector structures regroups three antennas within the same cylindrical housing on one single mast. Arialcom offers numerous options : TMAs, Multiplexers, RETs can be easily integrated in the so called service area of the structure. As well, the antenna azimuths can be fixed or manually adjustable.

THE TRIPLE-BAND ANTENNA: OUR KEY PRODUCT

Based on innovative and patented multi-band technology, Arialcom triple-band antennas offer several advantages as standard:

  • 17.5 dBi gain (all models : 2.6m to 1.6m height) over the 1710MHz – 2170MHz band, making them unique in the market place, because of the use of a very specific side by side array architecture;
  • Large tilt ranges (-2°/-10° & -4°/-12°) for both GSM900 and 1710-2170MHz bandwidths;
  • Efficient side lobe suppression thanks to the way of feeding the radiators (each dipole is independently fed);
  • Very low intermodulation levels by utilising unique stamped dipoles and improved phase shifters based on patented air stripline sliding dielectric circuits;
  • Small dimensions (270mm width) for easy installation and low visual impact.

In 2007, benchmarking performed by major operators have shown these outstanding Arialcom antenna performances.

STATE-OF-THE-ART RF LAB

Arialcom has made substantial investments to equip its laboratories with the most up to date R&D tools:

  • Spherical Near Field range and anechoic chambers;
  • Network Analyzers and Intermodulation test equipments;
  • Design and Drawing Department with state of the art CAD software;
  • Modern workshop dedicated to prototyping.

The combination of these equipments with a highly skilled team give Arialcom a strong an efficient R&D capability. This allows us to significantly reduce the new product development time and to customize our products according to any customer specific request.

Manufacturing is out-sourced to one of the biggest antenna supplier, fully acknowledged for the quality and the capacity of its production.

This international partnership combines Arialcom’s market leadership in multiband antenna design with an extensive production capacity up to 150 000 antennas per annum, ensuring speed, flexibility and cost efficiency for our customers.

SHORT ANTENNA DELIVERY LEAD TIME

Thanks to a permanent buffer stock updated every week, Arialcom offers very short delivery time. Because of its flexible organization, Arialcom can also quickly put in place the required logistic organisation whatever the antenna destination.

Our customers are informed in real time about the deliveries, as we at Arialcom recognise that our customers cannot afford to wait for antennas.

Arialcom antennas are measured according to the Arialcom production processes. Consequently, just before the antenna is shipped to its final customer destination, VSWR, Isolation, Intermodulation and radiation patterns are checked to be compliant with the required performance.
