PPM Ltd has launched a new ViaLite 4.2GHz fibre optic module as a new edition to its already extensive range. At 4.2GHz, the new module is ideally suitable for Antenna Remoting and Wimax applications.

Because of high data rates with Wimax, traditional copper links are unable to cope over distances of more than tens of metres. However, fibre has a relatively limitless bandwidth and is a natural choice for this type of application.

VIALITE MAKES MONITORING EASIER

Monitoring your ViaLite fibre Optic Link just got easier! PPM announce the introduction of their SNMP Ethernet-based monitoring option for the ViaLite range of products. SNMP is the de facto standard communications protocol supporting integrated network management in heterogeneous environments. The SNMP option can be retro fitted to all existing ViaLite installations and relays individual health information of each fibre optic, RF or Power module and the ambient environment of the rack. This information can be transferred over your existing Ethernet infrastructure.
