Daekyong Cable - Coaxial Cables, Feeder Cables, Antenna Cables and RF Cables

Daekyong is Korean-based manufacturer of various kinds of coaxial cables for CATV and wireless communication applications. Established in 1995, Daekyong started exporting its products in 2001 to South Asia, East Europe, South America and USA.

Daekyong's coaxial cables for CATV applications include drop cable and trunk cable. Antenna cable (DMSC), feeder cable (HDFC), and RF cable (radiated coaxial cable and leaky coaxial cable) are used in wireless communication applications.

DROP CABLE

Daekyong produces 75ohm drop cables used to transmit digital signals of television or computer networks. Coaxial drop cables are used to connect the optical network units and their subscribers in a network.

These coaxial cables are multifunctional and can accommodate wide range of frequencies from 1MHz to 3,000MHz. Different models of coaxial drop cables are produced by Daekyong include Standard Shield, Flooded, Tri-Shield, Super-Shield (Quad) and Messengered.

TRUNK CABLE

Considered as highly flexible and reliable coaxial cables, trunk cables have very low RF attenuation and come with an unprecedented 10-year warranty. Daekyong produces optimized coaxial trunk cables for use in broadband networks and broadband feeder plants. They are available in solid aluminium sheath, aluminium braid, and steel messenger types.

DMSC / ANTENNA CABLE

DMSC / antenna cable is superior to the RG Series solid-type used for RF communication. DMSC / antenna cables have excellent shielding, more flexibility, lower loss, and consistent high performance compared with the RG type.

Main features of the antenna cable include gas formed PE (not solid PE) insulation, copper clad aluminium inner conductor, bonded aluminium tape outer conductor, 100% aluminium braiding, etc.

Antenna cable is used in many applications, including as wireless LAN antenna cable, mobile communications inner rack cable, and mobile communications antenna cable.

HDFC / FEEDER CABLE

A feeder cable mainly consists of several different or same type wires bundled together as a single cable. Mainly used in radio-communication systems, HDFC / feeder cable can boost performance of base stations. Daekyong produces feeder cables in its state-of-the-art gas injection facilities.

As feeder cables are made of copper-clad aluminium as the inner conductor and corrugated copper tube as the outer conductor they have low attenuation, high velocity, and small reflection factor.

Feeder cables, when connected with RF cables like radiated coaxial cable or leaky coaxial cable, provide uninterrupted transmission.

RF CABLE

RF cables transmit radio waves with less signal loss. Daekyong produces two types of RF cables which includes radiated coaxial cable (RDCX) and leaky coaxial cable (LCX).

The RF cable is made of copper clad aluminium or copper tube as the inner conductor and slotted copper / aluminium tube as the outer conductor. Due to the slots in the outer conductor in an RF cable, the radio waves leak through these slots and the RF cable acts as antenna in shielded / shadow areas thereby reducing signal losses to a large extent.

While RDCX RF cable is useful for operating in wide frequency bands, LCX RF cable can be operated only on specific frequency bands.
