TeleWare plc selects ip.access as picocell supplier for Private Mobile Networks worldwide and utilising new low power spectrum in the UK

UK low power GSM spectrum winner to use ip.access' nanoGSM® picocells. Private Mobile eXchange (PMX) solution enables mobile phones to become part of a corporate voice network demonstrating strong market momentum towards fixed-mobile convergence solutions enabled by ip.access' picocell basestation systems

THIRSK, North Yorkshire, 13th June 2006 - Private Mobile Networks Ltd, the UK provider of private GSM network technology, today announces that they have signed a supply agreement with ip.access ltd, a leading developer of in-building wireless picocell solutions. TeleWare subsidiary Private Mobile Networks will use ip.access nanoGSM picocells with the low power GSM 1800 spectrum, recently allocated by Ofcom, to deliver fixed-mobile convergence (FMC) solutions with reduced mobile call charges for intra-building, campus and rapid deployment of private GSM networks.

"ip.access' nanoBTS picocell basestation system has been widely proven and deployed extensively for in-building networks," said Geoff Haworth, Chairman and Founder of TeleWare Group plc. "The nanoBTS is a very cost-effective way to provide GSM coverage to our enterprise customers. Both of these were critical factors in selecting nanoGSM products for our PMX solutions."

Private Mobile Network's PMX product allows companies to build a private GSM campus network to carry GSM traffic between mobile phones used within the campus and from mobile phones across intra-site IP networks, without incurring mobile operator call charges. PMX provides both Voice and SMS coverage with full support for additional high value PBX and least cost routing functions supplied by third party vendors.

"It is very rewarding to see our partners delivering whole product solutions for high-value FMC business applications," commented Stephen Mallinson CEO, ip.access. "Private Mobile Networks has launched a compelling and highly integrated solution that offers significant benefits for enterprise and public-sector clients worldwide. They should be applauded for their swift response to the new UK market opportunity that has arisen following the release of the low power GSM spectrum."
