Vierling will hold its sixth annual autumn fair from September the 19th to the 20th, 2007 at Schloss Atzelsberg near Erlangen, Germany. This event will see Vierling welcome industry specialists representing carriers, service providers, distributors and retailers. In the area of test equipment, a two-day technical exhibition and more than 30 specialized presentations will focus on new software applications for quality testing in IP-based networks and on innovative test solutions for DSL & broadband networks.

In the areas of mobile radio and telecommunications solutions, the focus will be on GSM gateways, new mobile radio applications and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology. GSM gateways offer companies a means of significantly reducing telecommunications expenses.

TECHNICAL EXHIBITION FOR TEST EQUIPMENT AND MOBILE RADIO

The autumn fair includes a two-day technical exhibition that Vierling and other information technology and telecommunications companies, such as GN Netcom, Bayerische Kabelwerke and Eudisa will use to demonstrate current products and technologies. Vierling Measurement Solutions will introduce the new VIT-V2 DSL tester for VDSL2, along with new quality test solutions for Internet access.

One highlight from the mobile communication division is the new Ecotel GSM3-3x analog GSM gateway which can significantly reduce telephone costs for small and medium-sized companies. Other products of note include the Ecotel ISDN2-120 lite dual-channel GSM gateway and the Ecotel wireless router 3.6 for connecting mobile offices to the Internet and telephone networks via 3G networks.

PRESENTATIONS REFLECTING INDUSTRY TRENDS

In the measurement solutions division, the focus of the presentations will be on market regulation, test requirements for Next Generation Networks (NGNs), Quality of Service (QoS) test systems as well as DSL and broadband technology (especially for ADSL2+ and VDSL2). For example, Germany's Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur) will provide insight into current debate and projects on the level of German and European regulatory authorities.

Mathias Leibinger, from Fraunhofer ESK, will cover the subject of home cabling and high-speed DSL. Lars Weyerstrass from WeyTeCon will investigate requirements and application scenarios relating to QoS test systems from the perspective of carriers and service providers (especially cable providers). The Mobile Communication Division will offer presentations on GSM gateways and its latest innovations in the marketplace for telecommunications systems.

Additional presenters include Siemens Enterprise Communications, which will discuss the company’s portfolio strategy, while Horst Toddenroth from D-Link will discuss Internet telephony for small to medium-sized companies and Siemens wireless modules will present new GSM and 3G wireless modules.

AN ESTABLISHED INDUSTRY GET-TOGETHER

"The Vierling autumn fair is a meeting place in which carriers, service providers, distributors and retailers gather to discuss topics relating to quality of service, DSL & broadband technologies, mobile radio, VoIP and telecom systems," noted Werner Vierling, managing director and company owner.

"The event is now well established as an industry happening featuring a casual atmosphere. There is adequate free time to talk one-on-one with colleagues between presentations and during the evening events. This year in the area of mobile radio we plan to focus our discussion on new GSM applications, while in the area of test equipment we will organize the first ever Vierling Cable Day for German cable network operators."
