Axell Wireless is the largest European manufacturer of coverage systems and a major force in wireless communications worldwide. Multi-band in-building coverage

The MBF offers seamless multi band coverage in any environment including tunnels, metros, stadiums, airports, large buildings and other confined areas. It supports a number of wireless technologies including GSM (900/1800), WCDMA and DVB-H, and is perfect in installations where many operators, for example, share a single repeater or where the operator dynamically wants to add capacity to each site.

The MBF is specifically designed to meet the industry’s highest standards as it offers exceptionally high output power, yet uses convection cooling, thereby significantly extending the equipment’s total lifetime and lowering power consumption.

TETRA in confined areas

Axell Wireless delivered the world's first TETRA repeater system already in 1997. During more than 10 years of extensive experience in providing special and cost-effective coverage solutions within TETRA networks, Axell Wireless has strengthened its position as the leading supplier of TETRA repeater equipment.

In the TETRA area, Axell Wireless offers a comprehensive range including fibre-fed repeaters (BSF424) as well as off-air repeaters (BSR421 and CSR424). For large confined areas such as tunnels, we offer a reliable solution with fibre-fed repeaters linked to an Optical Master Unit (OMU).

Reliable communications in railway environment

Axell Wireless has extensive experiences in railway applications. Our work encompasses both trackside apparatus and onboard train applications. Our solutions are well-adapted to the specific railway requirements of reliability and redundancy and our products are designed to comply with the often-demanding physical requirements of operating in a railway environment.

We offer coverage solutions for GSM-R and public safety systems such as TETRA, based on established off-the shelf products (CSF922-R, CSR922-R and OMU). For other frequency areas we can offer almost any combination of customer specific repeater system, designed and built to fit the most detailed requirements. We also offer multi-operator OnBoard solutions for a variety of technologies and combination of frequency bands such as GSM-R, GSM900, GSM1800 and WCDMA.

System associated products (filters, couplers, diplexers, attenuators and many more)

Axell Wireless also designs and manufactures a wide range of active and passive devices spanning the radio frequency spectrum from 30MHz to 2.7GHz. This range of products is the basic building blocks from which large antenna combining systems are constructed.

The passive devices include items such as spectrum dividing filters, directional couplers, crossband couplers, diplexers and splitters; active devices include, RF attenuators, RF amplifier modules, antenna VSWR monitors, fibre optic transceivers and emergency battery back-up systems.

Management and control solutions (AEM and RMC)

Axell Wireless supplies two powerful software tools for the configuration and management of repeaters either singly or in networks.

The Axell Wireless Element Manager (AEM) is a complete operations and maintenance centre for repeater networks, which takes control of the repeaters once the installation at site is completed. The repeaters are integrated into the network and controlled by the AEM.

The Repeater Maintenance Console (RMC) is an online software program that simplifies control and installation of repeaters. The RMC can be used locally on site, or remotely over a modem connection.
