Extension of GSM Coverage in Minsk Metro

Avitec has won the contract to provide GSM fiber-fed repeater equipment for the extension of radio coverage in Minsk metro. The project commenced in 2003 when Avitec's channel selective fiber-fed repeaters were used to provide coverage for around 20 metro stations. An extension of the coverage will be made by installing the same kind of equipment (two and four channels) to provide coverage for a total of 25 metro stations. The operator uses the Avitec Element Manager to manage its repeater elements, which means comprehensive supervision possibilities as well as reduced OPEX.
