Avitec's Unique Solution for Seamless in Train Coverage to Be Exhibited at the InnoTrans 2006 in Berlin

The OnBoard Repeater offers multi band (GSM, UMTS and GSM-R) coverage in a very cost-effective way. Due to the train's construction, signals are attenuated inside the coaches. By amplifying the frequency bands of interest using the OnBoard Repeater, seamless coverage is easily obtained.
There is no other solution on the market today like the OnBoard Repeater. The cost-effectiveness of installing this equipment is unprecedented. The high speed trains in Sweden have all been equipped with Avitec's OnBoard Repeater solution for enhanced coverage.
A major train operator in the UK has also chosen Avitec's unique OnBoard repeater for multi-band coverage inside their trains after a successful trial. Other countries in Europe, such as Finland, Portugal and Denmark, have come a long way in their discussions to implement such a solution for high speed trains.
As each train type is unique, a customer designed installation solution is required. Avitec has already acquired extensive experience in achieving an optimized installation where isolation is of primary interest.
