Comba

Comba - Microwave Systems, Antennas, Repeaters, Indoor Boosters, Tower Mounted Amplifiers and Boosters

Comba is one of the largest subsystems suppliers in the world and provides complete coverage solutions for mobile operators and OEM. Our product range includes digital microwave systems, antennas, repeaters, boosters and tower mounted solutions for all international standards and protocols.

COMPLETE DIGITAL MICROWAVE SYSTEMS (INDOOR AND OUTDOOR UNITS AND MICROWAVE PARABOLIC ANTENNAS)

Comba's digital microwave product line is flexible, easy to install, stable and highly reliable.

Major applications include, but are not limited to, wireless backhaul for cellular base stations, private enterprise networks and utility companies.

System configurations are as follows:

IDU (Indoor Unit): base band signal processing and E1 multiplex - demultiplex, modulation - demodulation. Provides digital service channel and auxiliary data channel. The IDU will allow local management and configuration via a Telnet interface or remote connection via an open architecture SNMP platform. IDU also provides a system monitoring function based on SNMP protocol and network outing function.

ODU (Outdoor Unit): upconverting the 310MHz intermediate frequency signal coming from IDU to microwave frequency and downconverting received microwave signal to 70MHz intermediate frequency signal. According to instructions from IDU, ODU performs channel and power configuration and monitors the whole unit.

Coaxial cable: single coaxial cable to connect IDU and ODU. The length of the cable can be as long as 300m.

Antenna: 13GHz, 15GHz, 18GHz, 23GHz and 26GHz ODU is directly mounted to the antenna. Comba provides 0.3m, 0.6m and 1.2m antennas. 7GHz and 8GHz ODU uses flexible coaxial cable to connect to the antenna. Comba provides 0.6m, 1.2m, 2.0m and 3.2m antennas.

NMS system: supports SNMP protocol, using MIB2 standard. All parameters can be remotely monitored. IDU parameters include: DSC number, code type of link, IP address, temperature, bit error rate alarm threshold and link ID. ODU parameters include frequency and channel number, output power, SSPA switch, ATPC, alarm mask, across connection, user port configuration, etc.

OPTICAL, RF REPEATERS AND FREQUENCY SHIFTING REPEATERS (FSR)

Comba has a wide range of repeaters for every situation with optical, frequency shifting repeaters (FSR) and RF repeaters for outdoor and indoor environments. The plug-and-play feature makes installation fast and simple.

Comba repeaters enable mobile operators to enhance their coverage quickly in a cost-effective solution:

  • Integrated remote control unit
  • Band or channel selective
  • Cased with all weatherproof, water resistant chassis

BASE STATION, INDOOR, REPEATER AND MICROCELL ANTENNAS

Comba offers a complete range of antennas to suit every environment and need. Our antenna products can be divided into the following categories:

  • Base station antennas
  • Indoor antennas
  • Repeater / microcell antennas
  • Camouflaged antennas

Comba's antennas are always aesthetically designed with quality performance to support all international mobile standards.

BOOSTERS

Comba boosters allow for easy and flexible installations for all indoor applications such as commercial buildings, subways and airports. Comba boosters have the following characteristics:

  • Effective regeneration of RF power with adjustable gain
  • Low noise figure
  • Robust remote monitoring and alarm functions

TOWER MOUNTED AMPLIFIERS (TMA) AND TOWER MOUNTED BOOSTERS (TMB)

  • Suitable for extending outdoor coverage cost effectively
  • Easily achieved balance RF power with adjustable uplink and downlink gain
  • Robust remote monitoring and alarm function
  • Low noise amplifier minimizes system noise, reduces dropped call rates and enables larger coverage area
  • Designed for all weather - waterproof, damp-proof and omni-sealed
  • Internal battery backup
