Informa - In-Building and In-Transport Forum

The second annual In Building and In Transport Forum takes place on the 27th and the 28th of September 2006 at the Marriot London in Regent's Park. The forum will give an overview of the various technologies available to target the indoor user. The agenda is strictly case study led, focusing on real practical experiences rather than generic technology overviews.

Indoor coverage has become increasingly important as new bandwidth technologies, often operating at significantly higher frequencies, struggle to penetrate buildings where customers spend the majority of their time. In addition, with fierce competition affecting voice revenues, operators will become increasingly dependent on data services to acquire revenue, the use of which predominantly takes place in a home or indoor office environment.

Attendees at this forum will experience real life case studies examining upgrades to UMTS and HSDPA, and get the opportunity to contrast these with alternative technologies, Wifi, WiMax, DVBH and UMA, which are set to have a significant impact on the in building and in transport environments.

LOW POWER GSM

The forum will offer the opportunity to discuss how low power GSM will affect the indoor wireless environment, and case studies of new players in indoor wireless will be examined. Telecom Italia's case study on in-train DVBH coverage will also be available to listen to, as well as operator case studies exploring strategies for indoor 3G access points in residential markets.

ENTERPRISE ATTITUDES TO IN BUILDING COVERAGE

The In Building and In Transport Forum will also allow you to assess enterprise attitudes to in-building coverage, and join in on our exclusive panel exploring the commercial relations between different players in the value chain.

The latest business models and technical advances in the in-transport industry will be present.
