ADTRAN

ADTRAN - Point-to-Point Fixed Wireless Solutions

ADTRAN provides cost-effective, license-free, point-to-point fixed wireless solutions that reduce monthly wireline expenditures and facilitate connectivity where landline infrastructure is unavailable or cost prohibitive.

These systems deliver high-speed digital transport at distances of up to 30 miles via a variety of interfaces including DS3, multi-T1, and 10/100 base-T Ethernet switching at both 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz. These affordable solutions are ideal for backhaul networks; temporary or emergency communications; disaster recovery; and wide area network voice, data, video and data transport.

MICROWAVE RADIO SYSTEMS

The TRACER series is a family of license-free point-to-point microwave radio systems for use in both carrier and enterprise networks. TRACER products deliver high-speed, digital transport over a fixed wireless connection. Service options range from T1 connectivity to 45Mbps full-duplex Ethernet bridging, at frequencies of 2.4GHz or 5.8 GHz.

This microwave radio series includes TRACER 6000 modular radios for T1, multi-T1, and packet-based applications; the TRACER 5045 wireless bridge with Ethernet switch; and the TRACER 4000 series DS3, octal, quad and dual T1 radios.

  • Cost-efficient solutions for point-to-point WAN connectivity and LAN-to-LAN bridging
  • Full range of complementary internetworking equipment to complete the wide or local area network link
  • License-free status eliminates licensing and frequency coordination issues
  • Suitable for voice, video and data transport; temporary or emergency communications and disaster recovery

DROP AND CONTINUE M13 MULTIPLEXER

ADTRAN's drop and continue M13 multiplexer delivers DS1s directly to service locations, allowing carriers full utilization of DS3 bandwidth. The MX3208 provides up to a full T1 of bandwidth, accessible at any point along the DS3 path, for data Ethernet connectivity.

Drop and insert DS3 networking is practical and efficient with the ADTRAN MX3208 or MX3216. Packaged in a 1RU, 19in chassis, the MX3208 or MX3216 routes DS1s between the two DS3 interfaces with access to eight or 16 DS1s at any node.

  • Controller cards provide DS1 drop and insert capability for DS3 networks
  • DS1 cross connects between both DS3 interfaces and local DS1 drops
  • Hot-swappable controller cards protected with 1:1 redundancy
  • Optional router providing end-to-end Ethernet extension over a single T1 as well as terminal server functionality - ideal for IP-based traffic over TDM backhauled network

EFFICIENT DS1 NETWORKING

The MX410 / MX412 delivers full DS0 control to service locations, allowing carriers full utilization of DS1 bandwidth. The MX410 interfaces to four long-haul outside plant protected DS1s via RJ-48 connectors, while the MX412 interfaces to 12 DS1s.

  • Drop and continue DS1s and/or groom DS0s anywhere along your DS1 route - modularity allows one to four DS1s (MX410), or one to 12 DS1s (MX412) to be dropped at any single site
  • DS0s can be assigned to local ports (Ethernet or V.35) up to full DS1 bandwidths and shared anywhere along the DS1 path
  • DS0 grooming allows for bandwidth to be allocated for special services such as E911 via a V.35 port

ETHERNET OVER DS1/DS3 FACILITIES

ADTRAN's MX3112 provides two application modes, copper mode and DS3 mode. In copper mode, the MX3112 provides 12 DS1 ports that can be bonded for transporting the traffic of up to four client Ethernet ports. In DS3 mode, twelve of the DS3 tributaries can be bonded for transporting the traffic of up to four client Ethernet ports.

  • Ethernet delivery over PDH (channelized DS3 or DS1)
  • Bonded DS1s for Ethernet services
  • DS3 for Ethernet and DS1 services

SONET OPTICAL MULTIPLEXERS

The OPTI-6100 MX chassis is a 19in or 23in rack-mountable platform for OC-3 / OC-12 / OC-48 SONET optical multiplexers. This chassis provides two High-Speed (HS) slots for terminating fiber circuits of up to OC-48 rate, plus 12 Mid-Speed (MS) slots for housing tributary modules that can deliver DS3 / EC1, DS1, VT1.5, OC-3 and Ethernet services.

  • Carrier-class OC-3/12/48 SONET multiplexer in a compact (2U high), full capacity arrangement
  • Single- or double-ended deployment into most GR-253 SONET multiplexers
  • Ethernet over SONET capability; GFP ITU-T G.7041 compliant
