HSDPA / EV-DO MERLIN PC CARDS AND EXPRESSCARDS

Slightly larger than a credit card, the Merlin Wireless PC cards and ExpressCards, make mobile-computing simple and convenient. Compatible with a variety of operating systems and leading brand notebooks, these devices allow mobile-workers wireless access to email, attachments, contacts, calendar, lists, the Internet and corporate databases.

Recently Novatel Wireless introduced the world's first 3G WWAN ExpressCard/34. This new form factor is the latest in technology and design, supported in over 50 new notebook platforms and the ExpressCard offers the latest in power efficiency and ergonomics. The ExpressCard is offered for both HSDPA and EV-DO technologies and fits both the ExpressCard/34 and ExpressCard/54 slots. Additionally, a universal adapter is available to allow the ExpressCard to work in a PCMCIA or PC card slot as well.

With the addition of the ExpressCard form factor, the Merlin wireless card family enables WWAN connectivity across the widest range of mobile computing platforms and technologies.

HSDPA / EV-DO EXPEDITE EMBEDDED MODULES

Expedite wireless embedded modules are based on the PCI Express mini card standard, and offers OEM's a tiny module with minimal power requirements. The modules offer the latest in HSDPA and EV-DO Revision A technology while providing backward compatibility to legacy networks to ensure maximum coverage.

These HSDPA and CDMA EV-DO modules can be integrated into numerous computing platforms and enable fast and secure wireless access to information in both fixed and mobile environments.

HSDPA / EV-DO OVATION MODEMS (USB AND CONSOLES)

Ovation stand-alone consoles offer a convergence of technology by allowing for connection to a variety of devices, including desktop PCs, notebooks, landline phones and emerging WLAN-enabled devices. WWAN, which enables high-speed broadband connection and Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) IEEE 802.11 b/g and/or VoIP. This combination of technology provides cost-effective, high-speed wireless-broadband access, least-cost call routing and the delivery of multimedia applications.

Ovation consoles provide a feature rich environment for SOHO / SME environments requiring fixed wireless access to the Internet, email, and the intranet. This product is well suited for small office, home office, and mobile offices. This wireless solution is quickly becoming a solution for the office and campus environments as well as a back-up, or replacement, solution for traditional wired networking / fixed lines.

Powered by Conversa, a software suite developed by Novatel Wireless, Ovation consoles will enable access to new applications resulting from an innovative convergence of high-speed WWAN and WLAN technologies with advanced software applications.

These consoles allows for secure connection to the Internet, email and intranet using wireless wide area network HSDPA / UMTS 2,100MHz and EDGE / GPRS 850MHz/1900MHz/1800MHz/1900MHz. They also provide for connection to the Internet, email and intranet using WLAN.

OVATION USB MODEMS

Ovation USB modems are one of the newest additions to the Novatel Wireless portfolio. Packaged in a compact form factor, the USB modem plugs directly into to a standard USB slot, just like a USB memory device or USB mouse. The USB WWAN modem, however, gives users high-speed, mobile broadband internet connectivity allowing them to access their data, email, VPN and intranet applications from anywhere there is a cellular signal. The USB modem can be used in a fixed, nomadic or fully mobile environment giving users maximum flexibility.

By providing WWAN technology via a USB modem, users have the ability to use wireless technology on their desktop PC, tablet PC, and notebook - virtually any product that has a USB slot and can connect wirelessly. The USB modems are compatible with Microsoft Windows and Apple operating systems and the Ovation USB modem offers customers an alternative to both PCMCIA and ExpressCard solutions.
