Aeroflex underscored its leadership in private mobile radio with the addition of exclusive support for testing the PassPort® protocol. Aeroflex now delivers PassPort testing through its IFR 2975 radio test set and Release 1.9.1 software, becoming the first company to support complete testing of PassPort radio systems. Selected for its affordability and theft protection features, PassPort systems are gaining rapid acceptance in the United States for private networks.
With Release 1.9.1 for the IFR 2975 radio test system, Aeroflex adds many new testing features and enables five new options. Four of the new “try before you buy” options are: P25 Explicit Messaging, P25 Secondary Control Channel Broadcast (SCCB) Messaging, P25 Adjacent Status Broadcast Messages, and P25 Unit to Unit / PSTN Interconnect. Release 1.9.1 also includes a new audio tracking generator for sweeping audio circuits, improved LTR Ò trunking features, and new oscilloscope and audio analyzer markers.
