QVoice in the Middle Eat & Gulf

Switzerland – September 2003: As part of the company’s intensified customer support program, Ascom will reinforce its commitment to the region at the upcoming GSM Middle East & Gulf Conference and Exhibition (7-8 October, JW Marriott Hotel in Dubai) with its presentation of the QVoice 3G system for mobile network testing.

“The Middle East is one of the few regions in the world where the mobile telecommunications industry is still expanding and experiencing strong growth,” says Phill Morris, Director at Ascom’s Carrier Products Division in UK, “and this event is one of the most prominent GSM gatherings in the region.”
“Our aim” Morris adds, “is to demonstrate to the regional operators how to maintain a competitive quality position through the use of advanced measurement and network optimization equipment.”

QVoice has become the world’s number one mobile testing system and is already in use by most of the Middle East mobile network operators for GSM/GPRS voice and data quality and performance benchmarking. Ascom expects that many of the conference attendees will be drawn to the company’s stand to learn about UMTS testing as this network technology is poised to spread through the region.

QVoice has been successfully tested on live W-CDMA networks and proved to be able to perform reliable network tests and measurements on new 3G networks while simultaneously carrying out simultaneous tests on current 2G and 2.5G networks.

Visitors are invited to Ascom Stand Nr.15 where Mr. Phill Morris will be present to demonstrate how QVoice can be used for drive-test benchmarking as well as network optimization.
