Astellia Acquires Acurio to Extend its Expertise in Improving the Performance of Mobile Networks

28 March 2007 10:45

Astellia – one of the leaders in the worldwide market for Quality of Service and performance of mobile networks – has announced that it has acquired another French company, Acurio. This acquisition complements Astellia's skills and extends its solutions range.

Acurio is experienced in developing software applications and offering services to analyze the trends and performance of mobile networks. Acurio markets a solution which gathers results from manufacturers' OMC counters, analyses them and generates trends. The extracted KPIs objectively and regularly inform operators and regulation authorities on the quality of observed networks.

Christian Queffelec, Astellia CEO, says: "We have been successfully working together for over two years on our 'Trending & Aggregation' application. It aggregates results generated through our Cigale solution and thus allows trending analysis. The Acurio purchase allows us to extend our expertise and to shorten the time-to-market of our solutions, keeping in line with our customers' needs."

Acurio managers Cyrille Le Floch and Guillaume Houssay confirm: "From the beginning of this adventure, we imagined a partnership with the strength to efficiently market our products. Our technological collaboration began in 2005 and reinforced our belief in this alliance. Astellia became the obvious choice for this privileged partnership."
