The company Vodafone Essar (formerly Hutchison Essar) - under the brandname Hutch - appointed Astellia to audit a part of its GSM and GPRS network in New Delhi. With the help of Astellia probes (Manta and Ocean), Hutch engineers captured SS7 data. The captured information was send to Astellia (Singapore) for analysis. Further Astellia provided Hutch with an audit report including the detailed diagnosis of the various network and roaming issues. The audit report explains how to optimize the network in order to offer the best quality of service to subscribers and roamers.

Mr Kirti Gupta, Head - Network Optimization and Quality of Hutch Delhi, says: "Astellia helped us in verifying our network's quality of service by capturing data from different network interfaces and coming up with the audit report with useful recommendations on network performance improvement. In addition to providing useful information on network behavior and highlighting important issues affecting quality of service and revenue, the audit has given us the confidence on the use and effectiveness of currently used performance monitoring tools deployed in the network. In some areas it has given us useful insight into new areas which are not in the purview of normal performance monitoring tools provided by the NSS/BSS vendors."
