Astellia adds unique reporting of Quality of Experience (QoE) for Web surfing, streaming and FTP services to its Packet Services Monitoring (PSM) solution for mobile networks.
Astellia PSM solution generates detailed reporting of the Quality of Service (QoS) and QoE for 2.5G/EDGE and 3G/HSxPA packet services. As it brings detailed reporting and troubleshooting capabilities for any place, down to cell level and at any time, PSM provides an efficient alternative or complement to manual or automated field tests periodically achieved by mobile operators.
Reports include complex quality indicators such portal page access time (including and excluding PDP context activation), streaming session setup delay, FTP download rate for different file sizes, etc.
Enhancing Astellia probes and monitoring software solutions for 2G, 2.5G and 3G mobile networks, PSM also provides efficient drill-down troubleshooting and correlates service behaviour to access network efficiency. It diagnoses issues as different as IP procedure failures, proxies or servers inefficiencies, radio or equipment failure, thus identifying corresponding responsibilities (www/service provider versus mobile core versus radio access network).
PSM option is or will soon be available for the Iub, IuPS, Gb, Gn, Gi interfaces.
