Cherokee at Geneva Telecom World 2003

06 August 2003 15:16

Cherokee will be part of the Belgian pavilion, stand 5050.019 at the world's major telecom show, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Telecom World 2003, to be held in Palexpo, Geneva, Switzerland from 11 - 18 October.

The stand of 40m˛ will reflect the continuing progress and success of Cherokee, recipient of the Frost & Sullivan Market Engineering Award for Customer Service and Innovation 2003.

Visitors will be able to discuss with Cherokee's engineers and marketing people the latest innovative solutions for remote power architecture.

Also on display will be the latest in Constant Power Energy Cabinets with -48V back-up for telecom applications - The ERA POWER CABINET product family.

The indoor cabinet has an equivalent outdoor version, enabling one power topology to be implemented throughout the whole network.

Equipped with Cherokee’s 1500W CAR rectifiers, the cabinet can deliver from 1500W up to 9000W.

The cabinet fits perfectly the wireless (GSM, CDMA and UMTS) and local exchanger market, where reduced floorspace is a must.

In contrast to the big scale solutions, Cherokee will display the latest in their growing family of DC/DC converters and non-isolated power modules. The Apollo 30A quarter-brick range has expanded, with Apollo 2 15A, 3 40A & 4 50A quarter-bricks, while the Tustin, TustinLite and Hyper families have been joined by the Eagle eighth brick, 25A without derating, and Polaris half-brick 70A power converters. A constantly growing and amazingly compact range that continues to surpass any product performance in the marketplace.
