With the new ERA outdoor and indoor cabinets Cherokee brings excellence in solutions in backed-up power for networks combining great flexibility of product configuration, quick time-to-market and systems cost reduction. Visitors to the Cherokee stand at the recent ITU Telecom World, Geneva, in the Belgian Pavilion 5050.019, were able to see both indoor and outdoor cabinets with a demonstration of remote monitoring

Short time-to-market and maximum choice of customer specifications are key success factors for the new range of cabinets for -48 V back-up power. With this unmatched combination of speed and flexibility these cabinets provide effective answers for a wide range of both indoor and outdoor requirements, for example in cellular and fixed radio networks.

Underlining the big savings in lead-time these cabinets deliver, customer prototypes can be supplied in as little as 2 weeks, with delivery of production units in only 8 weeks - performance that can make a big difference to customers’ own time-to-market.

World’s highest power density
These new cabinets cover many different power requirements from 680W to 4000W. They are based on the standard ERA power platform, which offers maximum designed-in flexibility in terms of rectifiers, AC and DC distribution facilities, monitoring units and batteries. Cherokee’s ERA platform has a proven reputation for the world’s highest power density in 3000W and 4000W rectifiers, allowing space- and cost-saving redundant rectifier configurations to be specified to meet users’ precise needs for power delivery and autonomy.

The modular AC and DC distribution facilities enable maximum flexibility to be achieved at minimal cost and with the shortest possible lead-time. This effectively enables the widest range of custom solutions to be implemented ‘as standard’, in a way that is both cost-effective and fast to realise.

The same high flexibility is available with monitoring facilities and batteries. Monitoring can be based either on Cherokee’s standard universal intelligent monitoring system with LCD display and communication via an RS232/485 port, or on other systems to meet customers’ specific requirements. Batteries can be accommodated from all leading suppliers, which can all be supplied by Cherokee at competitive prices.
