Telesoft Technologies - Roaming and Messaging, SMSC, Intelligent SS7 Filtering, Signaling Gateways, MVNO Gateways, Translation and Routing Engines

Telesoft Technologies is a development house and provider of roaming and messaging solutions to OEMs, system integrators and operators. Our roaming services are designed to allow customers to increase their Average Revenue Per Unit (ARPU).

Our GSM, CDMA and UMTS based network solutions include:

  • Roaming gateways, including MVNO roaming gateways
  • Text Messaging (SMS)
  • Multimedia Messaging (MMS)
  • USSD messaging
  • Roaming services
  • Message filtering / routing
  • Conferencing and lawful interception
  • Signaling gateways

GROUSE SMSC

The GROUSE Short Message Service Centre (SMSC) is a proven store-and-forward platform that receives, processes, stores, and sends all SMS within a mobile network and supports interconnect to other fixed / wireless networks.

The GROUSE SMSC is capable of supporting an SMS delivery rate of over 1,500msg/sec, provides storage for millions of messages and supports up to 256 simultaneous content providers. The GROUSE SMSC also supports virtual mobile subscriber provisioning, making an ideal platform for competition and voting services. The GROUSE SMSC is compatible with both GSM MAP and IS41 networks and can be deployed in T1 or E1 environments.

MVNO ROAMING GATEWAY

The Telesoft MVNO roaming gateway is based on dual / multi IMSI roaming. It allows established mobile operators, who have already invested in a large number of mature roaming agreements, the ability to offer instant roaming services to smaller operators and MVNOs.

The solution is based on dual or multi IMSI handsets, one from the larger operator and one from the new operator, (roaming and home IMSI) allocated to each dual-IMSI handset. The MVNO roaming gateway is based on the IGRG architecture and has a dynamic database containing IMSI translation tables for customers subscribed to the service, acting as a gateway between the home and roamed networks. This allows a mobile subscriber to roam in networks not covered by roaming agreements, thus smaller operators can immediately provide customers with the ability to roam.

SIGNALING CONTROL SERVER (SCS)

The Signaling Control Server (SCS) is a sophisticated and flexible SS7 signaling device which enables an external application to control the passage of SS7 messages through the unit. The platform is based on Telesoft's IGRG architecture and interconnects directly within SS7 networks. It can connect in series with all SS7 signaling or can be installed as a service node adjacent to an STP.

Messages that are of interest to the specific service being operated will be chosen through detailed filter criteria applied to each incoming SS7 MSU. Matching messages are either processed by on board service logic or passed over a powerful TCP / IP application interface for processing by an external application server; messages of no interest are transited across the unit with no interference or delay.

The SCS allows sophisticated roaming, billing and filtering applications within SS7 networks, including:

  • Preferred roaming solutions
  • Traffic steering
  • Billing reconciliation
  • SMS routing
  • SS7 firewall applications for SMS SPAM prevention.

The SCS has support for ANSI and ITU SS7 interfaces, together with SIGTRAN support for IP networks, (M3UA and M2PA).

The SCS has a web-based GUI for configuration of basic system level information and O&M, it also supports a service logic API, allowing complex filters and rules to be constructed and uploaded to the platform in real time. The SCS can be supplied as a fully redundant high availability platform with no single point of failure and supports real time reconfiguration.

SIGNALING GATEWAYS

The MILBORNE signaling gateway range terminates SS7 and SIGTRAN signaling networks and provides OEM development APIs over IP. This enables application developers to develop SS7 services over an IP backbone without in-depth knowledge of SS7 signaling and management.

The MILBORNE signaling gateways offer a range of circuit based and non-circuit based services. The Milborne gateway device allows full access and control of the SS7 network through a range of open TCP / IP based interfaces.
