Smart-Guy - a light device for quick but accurate measurement of guy cable tensions.

Weisman Consultants Inc is pleased to announce the availability of a new, light, but accurate device for the direct measurement of guy cable tensions. Smart-Guy is draped across the turnbuckle jaw or eye and the guy thimble and adjusted manually until the link pin between the turnbuckle jaw and the thimble can be rotated freely. A digital readout gives the accurate tension to the nearest 500N (100lb). Good to tensions of up to 53kN (12,000lb), this device gives tensions without the need to refer to charts and without the need to know the cable size, construction, length, what dampers and insulators might be on the guy, or its flexibility.
Smart-Guy is ideal for inspections and even more useful in construction, as it can b used to set the tensions properly to begin with. Set using Smart-Guy, it should not be necessary to spend any time adjusting tensions before handover of the project. You could even measure guy tensions of iced up guys. Smart-Guy with cases weighs only 15kg (33lbs).
